As the lacrosse season continues to heat up, alumni across all divisions have been making their mark on the field. From thrilling overtime victories to dominant team performances, this week’s games were packed with standout individual performances and memorable moments. Whether it was on offense, defense, or in goal, our alumni demonstrated their skills and leadership, proving once again the strength of the Long Island Express community. Below is a detailed breakdown of the performances and top players from the week.
DIVISION I
Boston U. 21, Bucknell 12

Boston U. delivered an impressive offensive display against Bucknell, securing a dominant 21-12 victory. Jimmy O’Connell was a key contributor, scoring 4 Goals and adding 1 Assist, while also scooping up 4 ground balls. James Corcoran played a crucial playmaking role with 1 Goal and 3 Assists, and Matt Freeman was a defensive force, collecting 5 ground balls and causing 2 turnovers.
Penn State 13, Cornell 12 (OT)
In an overtime thriller, Penn State edged out Cornell 13-12 in a nail-biting finish. Jack Cascadden was instrumental for the Big Red at the dot, winning 8 Face-offs and collecting 2 ground balls, providing stability in the midfield during the game’s decisive moments.
Fairfield 19, Umass Lowell 5
Fairfield had a commanding performance, defeating Umass Lowell 19-5. Rob Moore was at the forefront, notching 1 Goal and 3 Assists in a well-rounded performance that helped ensure the easy win for Fairfield.
Villanova 9, Drexel 6
Villanova’s defense and goaltending stood tall in their 9-6 victory over Drexel, with Freshman Denis Fargione earning the start in goal and recording 11 Saves for a 65% Save Percentage in his first career start.

UPenn pulled out a hard-fought 11-8 win against Villanova. Denis Fargione stood tall in net for the Wildcats with 9 Saves with a 45% Save Percentage in a losing effort.

Ohio State narrowly defeated Notre Dame 10-9, with Chris Kavanagh leading the charge offensively for the Fighting Irish, scoring 2 Goals and adding 2 ground balls. Will Angrick also played a big role with 2 Goals of his own, while Jalen Seymour contributed 1 Goal. Will Lynch was exceptional on face-offs, winning 9 Draws and collecting 7 ground balls.

NJIT triumphed over Wagner 12-11 in a tightly contested matchup. Russell Maher was a key offensive weapon for NJIT, scoring 3 Goals in a breakout performance.
Virginia 11, Towson 6
Virginia controlled the game to win 11-6 over Towson. Jack Walshe contributed with 1 Assist and 1 ground ball, while Tommy Snyder chipped in with 1 ground ball.
Dartmouth 16, Siena 13
Dartmouth defeated Siena 16-13 in a hard-fought contest. Jack Mulholland was once again crucial, contributing 1 goal, 1 ground ball, and 1 caused turnover to help Dartmouth extend their win streak.
Richmond 23, Mercyhurst 3
Richmond dominated Mercyhurst 23-3, and Gavin Creo played a pivotal role, scoring 2 goals and continuing his strong form in the attack.
Michigan 19, Cleveland State 5
Michigan cruised to a comfortable 19-5 victory over Cleveland State, with CJ Reilly contributing 1 Goal and 2 ground balls to the team’s dominant performance.
Merrimack 11, Holy Cross 10
Merrimack narrowly defeated Holy Cross 11-10 in a tight affair. Andrew Ottomanelli had a standout game for the Crusaders with 1 Goal and 4 Assists, while Jude Lynch scored 2 goals, and Owen Tunney recorded 1 assist.
Canisus 10, Sacred Heart 8
Canisius secured a hard-fought 10-8 win over Sacred Heart. Alex Pazienza played a key role for the Pioneer’s defense, recording 10 Saves for a 50% Save Percentage, while Jack Ramsay helped on both ends with 3 ground balls and 1 Assist.
North Carolina 18, Hofstra 7
North Carolina defeated Hofstra 18-7 in dominant fashion. Hofstra’s Ryan Kiernan contributed 3 ground balls and 1 caused turnover, while Cole Aasheim of North Carolina added 1 ground ball and 1 caused turnover in a solid defensive performance.
Monmouth 18, NJIT 4
Monmouth came away with an 18-4 win against NJIT. Ryan O’Rourke was instrumental, registering 3 assists, and NJIT’s Russ Maher contributed with 1 assist.
VMI 11, Monmouth 10
VMI defeated Monmouth 11-10 in a tight game. Ryan O’Rourke contributed 1 assist, but Monmouth couldn’t pull out the victory in the closely contested match.
Fairfield 20, St. John’s 8
Fairfield cruised to a 20-8 win over St. John’s. Rob Moore added 1 assist and 1 caused turnover, while Will Snyder made 3 Saves in goal.
VMI 20, Queens 7
VMI routed Queens 20-7, and Nicky West made 4 Saves to help defensive efforts for Queens.
Brown 10, Bryant 8
Brown defeated Bryant 10-8. Freshman Owen West contributed with 1 assist in the contest.
Marist 12, Iona 7

Adelphi 15, CUI 7
Adelphi came away with a strong 15-7 victory over CUI. Kyle Lewis was outstanding, scoring 3 Goals and adding 2 Assists, playing a pivotal role in the win.

Adelphi cruised to a dominant 24-7 win over Dominican (Cal.). Kyle Lewis added 1 Goal to his tally, contributing to the lopsided victory.
Mercy 13, Florida Tech 10
Mercy emerged victorious 13-10 over Florida Tech. Jimmy Osorio was a key player, scoring 3 Goals and adding 3 Assists in the well-rounded performance.
Lewis 13, Westminster 12
Lewis edged out Westminster 13-12 in a close game. Michael Metheny played a key role with 2 Assists, providing crucial offensive support.
Lander 14, Walsh 4
Lander dominated Walsh 14-4, with Michael Mattalino scoring 3 Goals and contributing 1 Assist in a strong individual performance.

Tufts 27, Trinity 9
Tufts routed Trinity 27-9, with Connor Garzone making 8 Saves for a 53% Save Percentage in goal.
Montclair State 7, Scranton 6
Montclair State narrowly defeated Scranton 7-6. Carsen Kirchner was outstanding with 12 Saves and a 63% Save Percentage, while Connor Cole added 1 ground ball and 2 Caused Turnovers in a strong defensive performance.
Ithaca 15, Scranton 10
Ithaca won 15-10, with Carsen Kirchner once again providing key goalkeeping, making 12 Saves for Scranton.
Ohio Wesleyan 18, John Carroll 7
Ohio Wesleyan defeated John Carroll 18-7, with Garrett Smith scoring 2 Goals and contributing 1 Assist to the win.
Merchant Marine 17, Drew 7
Merchant Marine triumphed 17-7 over Drew, with Michael Valentine IV collecting 2 ground balls in a solid effort.
Vassar 12, SUNY Maritime 7
Vassar won 12-7, with Joseph Bruno excelling at the faceoff X, winning 14 Draws at a 67% win percentage and adding 3 ground balls.
