This week, the Long Island Express Lacrosse alumni demonstrated their continued skill and impact on the field, with strong individual performances across all divisions. Whether it was a crucial goal, a key assist, or a dominant performance in goal, each player contributed to their team’s success. The future of the alumni team continues to look bright, with each athlete proving that their lacrosse talent is enduring.

DIVISION I

Villanova 16. Brown 9

Denis Fargione had an outstanding game in goal for Villanova, making 19 saves and recording a 68% save percentage. His performance helped secure a comfortable 16-9 victory for Villanova, and his 19 saves tie for the fifth-most in a single game in Villanova program history.

Fairfield 12, Drexel 11

Rob Moore played a pivotal role in Fairfield’s 12-11 win over Drexel, tallying 5 assists and setting up key offensive plays to help secure the victory in this tight matchup.

Rutgers 11, John Hopkins 8

Jack Monfort was solid in his all-around performance for Hopkins, grabbing 2 ground balls and adding 1 assist, contributing both offensively and defensively.

Richmond 13, Georgetown 12

Gavin Creo scored 1 goal to help Richmond narrowly defeat Georgetown 13-12 in a tightly contested game.

Siena 18, Iona 12

Freshman attackman Jake Riglietti tallied a goal in game against Siena.

Cornell 19, Yale 14

Jack Cascadden had a monster game in the faceoff circle, winning 17 faceoffs and scooping up 8 ground balls, helping Cornell pull away with a 19-14 victory over Yale.

Virginia 12, Albany 9

Charles Balsamo and Jack Walshe each scored 1 goal to help Virginia secure a 12-9 win over Albany in a solid team effort.

Boston U. 10, Army 9 (OT)

Jimmy O’Connell was a key player in Boston U.’s 10-9 overtime victory over Army, scoring 1 goal and dishing out 3 assists, while James Corcoran added 1 assist to contribute to the win.

North Carolina 14, High Point 2

Cole Aasheim contributed defensively for North Carolina, picking up 2 ground balls and causing 2 turnovers in their dominant 14-2 win over High Point.

Sacred Heart 13, Merrimack 8

Alex Pazienza had a solid performance in goal, recording 13 saves at a 62% clip to help Sacred Heart secure a 13-8 win over Merrimack. Jack Ramsay also contributed 2 ground balls.

Queens 15, Hampton 8

Nicky West was stellar in goal for Queens, making 12 saves and posting a 71% save percentage in their 15-8 win over Hampton.

Hofstra 15, Monmouth 9

Monmouth midfielder Ryan O’Rourke recorded 1 assist, while Ryan Kiernan of Hofstra grabbed 1 ground ball in Hofstra’s 15-9 win over Monmouth, playing key roles in both offense and defense.

DIVISION II

Anderson (SC) 28, Tusculum 9

Matthew Rodgers had a dominant performance, scoring 5 goals in Anderson’s commanding 28-9 win over Tusculum.

Mercy 15, D’Youville 6
Jimmy Osorio scored 2 goals to help Mercy secure a 15-6 victory over D’Youville in a convincing performance.

Anderson (SC) 25, Lincoln Memorial 12
Matthew Rodgers scored 2 goals and recorded 1 assist in Anderson’s 25-12 win over Lincoln Memorial, continuing his strong offensive play.

Adelphi 12, Bentley 7
