Alumni Report: Week 2 – Feb 16
The Long Island Express continues to make a significant impact at the collegiate lacrosse level, with several of our alumni contributing to their respective teams in impressive ways. Here’s a quick rundown of some standout performances from this past weekend:
DIVISION I
Notre Dame 24, Cleveland State 6
Notre Dame dominated Cleveland State, with Chris Kavanagh leading the charge with 4 goals and 5 assists. Will Angrick contributed with 2 assists, and Will Lynch excelled at the face off X, winning 7 of 9 (78%) and grabbing 4 ground balls. Alex Zepf made 6 saves on 9 shots for a 67% save percentage, adding to the strong defensive effort.
Notre Dame 22, Marquette 9
Notre Dame triumphed with strong contributions across the board. Will Angrick scored 3 goals and added 1 assist, while Chris Kavanagh had 2 goals and 2 assists. Jalen Seymour added 1 goal, and Will Lynch dominated the face off circle with 9 wins and 4 ground balls.

Richmond 13, Virginia 10
Gavin Creo helped the Spiders clinch a huge win over ranked Virginia! Gavin posted 2 goals and dished out an assist in this game. Joey Terenzi had a nice step down goal for Virginia.

Boston U. 15, Monmouth 6
Jimmy O’Connell was a standout for Boston U., registering 3 goals and 3 assists. Mikey Rooney also played a key role with 2 goals, contributing to the offensive outburst in this win over Monmouth. In his second career start, Matt Freeman led the Terriers’ defensive unit as the junior matched the program record with six caused turnovers to go with a career-best four ground balls, earning himself Patriot League Player of the Week Honorable Mention.

Fairfield 11, Brown 5
Will Consoli contributed with 1 goal and 1 assist, while Rob Moore scored 1 goal in a solid team effort by Fairfield to defeat Brown.
Michigan 15, Hobart 9
In a balanced team win for Michigan, CJ Reilly chipped in with 1 goal and 2 assists, helping his team secure the victory over Hobart.

Bryant 19, Merrimack 4
Owen West contributed with 1 assist in Bryant’s convincing win over Merrimack.
LIU 14, Iona 9
Jake Riglietti played a key role for LIU with 1 goal and 2 assists, guiding his team to a comfortable win over Iona.
Sacred Heart 11, Holy Cross 9
Alex Pazienza made 10 saves for Sacred Heart. Jack Ramsay contributed defensively with 2 ground balls, helping Sacred Heart hold off Holy Cross. Andrew Ottomenelli registered an assist for the Crusaders offense in this game.
Holy Cross 14, UMass Lowell 9
Jude Lynch led the offense for Holy Cross with 2 goals, and Andrew Ottomanelli added 1 goal in their win over UMass Lowell.
Iona 13, Hampton 9
Jake Riglietti was a key playmaker for Iona, registering 2 assists in their victory over Hampton.
Ohio State 16, Bellarmine 4
Dillon Magee contributed with 1 assist in Ohio State’s dominant win over Bellarmine.
DIVISION II
Adelphi 19, Georgian Court 6
Kyle Lewis had a strong offensive showing for Adelphi with 2 goals and 1 assist, leading them to a dominant victory over Georgian Court.
Lewis 14, Walsh 7
Michael Metheny was the offensive leader for Lewis with 3 goals and 1 assist, helping his team secure a 14-7 win over Walsh.
Anderson (SC) 21, Embry Riddle 14
Matthew Rodger’s contributed with 1 goal and 1 assist, playing a part in Anderson’s high-scoring win over Embry Riddle.
Palm Beach Atlantic 19, Lander 15
Michael Mattalino played a key role for Lander with 1 goal and 1 assist in their lose to Palm Beach Atlantic.
DIVISION III
SUNY Maritime 14, Coast Guard 12
Joseph Bruno was strong in the faceoff circle with 5 wins and also contributed offensively with 1 goal and 1 ground ball in SUNY Maritime’s tight win over Coast Guard.
Stevenson 18, Muhlenberg 6
Liam Ledwith found the back of the net once in lose to Stevenson.
Skidmore 18, Wentworth 7
Michael Aiello tallied two goals and two assists in an 18-7 win over Wentworth, earning a spot on the Liberty League Honor Roll for his standout performance.
